Browser extension

The extension does not collect, store on a server, or share with third parties your personal data, browsing history, or information about the pages you open.

Once a day it downloads one shared list of games from hookedyet.com (the address is /api/extension.json). The list is the same for everyone, and the request contains no information about you or the pages you visit.

When you open a game page on the Steam store, the extension looks the game up in the list already stored on your device and shows a panel. The game ID is never sent anywhere.

Stored on your device: the downloaded list of games and your settings (panel language and site address).

The extension uses no analytics, advertising or third-party services, and no code is loaded from other sites.

What the server sees

Like any website, the hookedyet.com web server receives technical data with every request (IP address, time, browser type, page address) and writes it to a service log. For extension requests this data is not linked to the Steam pages you open.

Website

The website uses Yandex Metrica for visit statistics (which pages are opened and where visitors come from). How Yandex processes such data is described in Yandex's own documents.

Your settings are saved in the browser: the colour theme and the site language. They stay on your device.

If you write through the contact form, we receive what you type into it (the message and, optionally, a name and contact) and use it only to look into the message and reply.
